Sanctuary

I have recently started to display my work at a lovely store called Sanctuary in Bangalore.
Sanctuary is located on hospital road (the road to the left of Safina Plaza). It's an old jewish bungalow that has been converted into a store and lounge. The lounge is called Zync.
The place is beautiful and they have some great stuff up for sale - clothes, jewelry, home decor. And they re-stock often! Can you tell I'm one of their very regular customers? hehehe :D

Here are some of the things I created just for Sanctuary. They are up for sale there right now. I've put up more at the store including some of my previous creations.

PENDANTS, NECKLACES, EARRINGS, BRACELET

A long overdue update...

Some of these I have made recently and others are old ones that I simply hadn't taken pictures of.

Let me start with my floating pendants.
These two are my original and earliest floating pendants and they are not for sale :D
There was another blue one which I made with these but that I gifted to a good friend who was nice enough to let us bunk with her in NYC for our trip there in May 2005.
I can't seem to remember if I took pictures of it before I gave it to her.

These are my most recent ones.

This one was made on order for someone who saw one of my older floating pendants from one of my previous posts here.

And now we move to the non-floating pendants. Follow me please...

This beauty I'm keeping for myself :)
It's funny how ones that look plainest when I start making them end up looking the most stunning when they are finally finished and worn!!!

I love combining clay and wire. My hands start to move on their own and before I know it there's something that I never ever expected. The following three are examples of such work:

This started out with that ruffled rose, then came the blue pendant base and the rest of the decorations and finally the wire sculpting.

Here the canework came first, then the pendant base and finally the wire work.
Not that all this information matters to you guys but I wanted to share anyways LOL

Another one of those 'disastrous' ones that started out as something, morphed into something else and finally ended up being a whole different thing. I kinda like it because it's unique (even for my pendants) :)

This one I've embellished with canework and seed beads.

This is a super simple one. Looks good on a thick black chord and around the neck of course :)

I was attached to this piece for a long time. But I finally sold it a couple of months ago.

I learnt to make this cane from a show on TV and as soon as I made the petal cane, I created the pendant.

Check out these froggies. Aren't they cute? They were made on order.
Right now, I'm supplying these exclusively to a certain store.
These guys are crazy about frogs! :)

Also made this froggie bracelet for them.

Now for some necklaces...

Two of my famous illusion necklaces. When you wear them it looks like the seed beads are floating around your neck by themselves.
The blue, translucent and gold foil pendant is made with a technique called mokumegane (originally a metalworking technique).

And old piece but one of my favorites.

One of my first canework pendants on this necklace.

The front and back on this focal have different stamps. One a flower, another a ladybird :)

This one is tied so it fits snugly around the neck. The floating pendant covers a lot of the front part of the neck. Makes an awesome choker.

A couple of sets...

And finally some dangly earrings...

Rose quartz in combination with deep red glass beads and metal components.

This one has gold foil embedded in the background. A closer look reveals it.

Those are all I have to show you for now. More soon :)
